  • Equity in Mental Health Programming Fund - Deadline May 31
  • UC Davis graduate students who need funding for a mental health-related project/initiative with UC Davis students as the primary audience can apply for up to $5,000 through the Equity in Mental Health Programming Fund. Applications are accepted through May 31, 2024.   • The UC-National Laboratory In-Residence Graduate Fellowship
  • The UC-National Laboratory In-Residence Graduate Fellowship is a funding opportunity for UC graduate students in any field of study that aligns with the missions of Los Alamos and Lawrence Livermore National Laboratories.

  • Graduate Opportunities for Leadership Development (GOLD) Award, Summer 2024: Focus on Tobacco Cessation Policy Research (apply by April 19)
  • The UC Center Sacramento (UCCS), in collaboration with the UC Davis Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Tobacco Cessation Policy Research Center (TCPRC), announces the 2024 GOLD Award for Tobacco Cessation Policy Research. 

    This program offers UC Davis graduate students, in any academic discipline, a summer term in residence opportunity. The awardee will conduct public policy research in Sacramento and engage with local or state policymakers on issues related to tobacco cessation in California. The research topics include, but are not limited to, working on the following TCPRC policy projects: 
    • Pharmacist-led counseling and reimbursement for tobacco treatment 
    • Tobacco treatment delivery for patients with substance use disorders 
    • Flavored tobacco sales restriction policy implementation 
    • Health plan coverage and promotion of tobacco cessation treatment 

    Submissions are due by April 19, 2024. To be considered for an interview, please submit the following items and any questions to uccsgold@ucdavis.edu. 
    • Description of related public policy/service interests (500 words max) 
    • Current CV 
    • Letter of recommendation sent separately from a supervising professor 

    Award recipients will be employed as a Graduate Student Researcher during the summer term. Awardees will meet weekly with mentors and are expected to present at the October 2024 TCPRC Summit at UCCS (Sacramento, CA). Selection will be based on demonstrated interest and experience in public policy or service and evidence of exceptional communication skills.
